PETER IS IN THE EARLY stages of Alzheimer’s, still capable of managing on his own as long as he has clear instructions. He’s often at home alone, cares for the family’s dogs, and enjoys doing small household projects.
His wife, Wilma, works full-time, has her own health issues, while also paying close attention to Peter. Every morning and evening she has to make sure everything is set up properly for Peter to manage. And she keeps track of all his behavior changes and symptoms.
Their son lives far away, and so can help only occasionally, but tries to stay aware of the situation so he can easily step in.
